RCCB 4 Pole 40A 63A 80A 30mA Type B RCD Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker for DC 6mA EV Charging Station

RCCB 4 Pole 40A 63A 80A 30mA Type B RCD Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker for EV Charging

Type B RCCBs are suitable for non-linear circuits that are able to generate leakages with high direct current (higher than 6 mA) and/or high frequency components, for example single-phase or poly-phase rectifiers, rectifiers with active correction of the power factor, continuous voltage generator with no separation from AC networks and inverters at variable frequency. Function ● Control electric circuits. ● Protect people against indirect contacts and additionalprotection against direct contacts. ● Protect installations against fire hazard due to insulation faults. ● Compliance to worldwide product standards ● Reliability: A high level of immunity is provided against unwanted tripping
Technical Data
1. Provides protection against earth fault/leakage current and function of isolation. 2. High short-circuit current withstand capacity. 3. Applicable to terminal and pin/fork type busbar connection. 4. Equipped with finger protected connection terminals.

What Is an RCD?

An RCD, or Residual Current Device, is a life-saving device that is fitted in electrical installations. It is a device that detects a current flowing through a person’s body or electrical equipment, and if the fault current is above a certain threshold it will be detected and the RCD will be activated and remove power from the appliance, the circuit or the installation and thereby provides protection against electric shock. Although RCDs are specifically designed to provide protection against electric shock, they can also provide protection against electrical fire in certain cases.   RCDs offer a level of personal protection that ordinary fuses and circuit-breakers simply cannot provide.   Type B RCCBs in addition to normal AC, can detect high frequency AC and pure DC earth leakage currents. Reducing the risk of fire and or electrocution through automatic disconnection of the electrical supply relies on the selection of the correct type of MIDA RCCB. Detectable wave form: B class Tripping is ensured for sinusoidal AC residual currents pulsed DC residual currents, alternating residual sinusoidal currents up to 1000Hz,pulsating direct residual currents and for smooth direct residual currents, whether applied suddenly or increasing slowly.
